 World Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22 to raise awareness the importance  of protecting our planet. It is a global event that brings together millions of people who care about the environment and want to make a positive change. Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, and since then it has grown into an international movement. The main aim of this day is to spread awareness about environmental issues and encourage people to take action. Governments, organizations, schools, and individuals all participate in activities such as tree planting, recycling drives, and campaigns to reduce pollution. Air pollution is caused by vehicles, factories,and burning fossil fuels, which leads to health problems and global warming. Water pollution happens when waste and chemicals are dumped into rivers and oceans, harming marine life. land pollution, especially from plastic waste , is also a major concern because plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose. lastly if we all help take some small steps today, we can create a big impact in the future.
